The National Handwriting Association offers a printed wall poster as a practical guide on how to facilitate comfortable, fluent, legible handwriting: The Good Practice for Handwriting: “Prepare for P Checks and S Factors for Success”.
This is an essential guide for environmental factors in preparation for handwriting (P Checks). The poster also shows the critical 8 S Factors (starting at Shape) which are vital in facilitating legible, comfortable and fluent handwriting. This is linked directly to age appropriate and current curriculum descriptors from nursery through to Year 6.
