Amanda points out that the NHA advocates both handwriting and keyboarding, though understanding and recall are better with handwriting so it’s a more effective method for revision. There is also insufficient infrastructure currently: touch typing is not taught on the National Curriculum, and more investment would be needed in technology to ensure that no one is disadvantaged.
